Nowadays, rubber-stamping has become the fastest growing catagory to create all sorts of designs by using rubber stamps. This hobby, (widely referred to as scrap booking) has given the rubber stamp business a whole new lease of life.

Decorative rubber stamps, known commonly as art stamps, are used in the home, for craft projects. Decorative art stamps leave a lasting image on the surface and create wonderful designs on a wide range of surfaces. Art stamps can be used to a personal touch scrapbooks or to add color and variety to photo albums. Art stamps are also used on letters, anniversary cards, special occasion cards, banners and flyers to give a personalised feel. Art stamps can also be used to decorate notebooks, stationery and holiday wrapping paper. Either one stamp design, or several designs used in conjunction, can achieve a fantastic and professional effect.

Art rubber stamps can be painted with special fabric ink/paint to create a stylized border design on a piece of cloth or an existing garment. The paint/ink used should be suited for the fabric type, to give an item such as tablecloths and napkins your personel unique design. Since rubber stamps can also be used on hard surfaces like wood, metal, plastic and ceramics, hard items such as boxes and picture frames can also be decorated with rubber stamps. The paints used to decorate these hard surface items should be suitable for the surface intended for the design.
