How Do I Care For My Stamp

Rubber stamps come in all shapes and sizes. Most have some sort of a mounting system either wood, ABS, foam or thick foam with thin wood. Most rubber stamp images are permanently attached to the mount, some you can peel and stick back on, some have no mounts at all. The actual rubber stamp itself also comes in many forms, from traditional grey rubber (also available in red, blue, beige or black),

or pink polymer.

Whatever the type they all need care and attention, then they will last for years. Rubber Stamps are not designed to be thrown away after a couple uses, with a little wipe after use, or alot of wipes, you can keep the die clean and ready for use.

Cleaning Materials: soap/washing up liquid, baby wipes,  Ink Remover/Cleaner, hand cleaner, cotton buds, j cloth, old toothbrush.

-- Baby wipes work great on most water base inks and stamp surfaces, if you clean immediately. Although they will not remove ink from wood, only sanding will remove in this case.

Trodat Launch Carbon Neutral Printy Stamp

Trodat launch the world’s first climate-neutral stamp! It has been re-designed to be sustainable and up to 49%* of carbon emissions can now be saved during the production process. The remaining unavoidable carbon footprint is offset by investment in Gold Standard climate protection projects recommended by the WWF®. The climate-neutrality refers to the stamp components.

The launch of the Trodat Printy version 4, sees the progress of the rubber stamp industry as a whole to improve and innovate rubber stamp products. Not only are they expanding there uses, but are impacting less and less on the wider environment. It is vital for the rubber stamp industry and industry in general, that the mind set of business leaders, designs and engineers see the impact of their products as major factor when creating something new. The mantra Reduce - Recycle - Reuse seems to be hitting home.

Rubber Stamp Pads with a difference

In the quest to meet customers ever varying demands we have a supply of multi coloured ink pads, usually only supplied through our craft site. These come in a range of bright colours, also as double and triple colour pads, rubber stamps will never be the same. These have many uses not least for srcap booking or art stamps. How ever as many stamps are used for secuirty and loyality card stamps, a multi coloured pad makes it very difficult to creat an imitation.

A very popular stamp in the current climate is please pay on return rubber stamp variant, instead of stamping in the usuall red ink, why not use a triple pad with red, which still makes the point, but with other colours that  will soften the tone of your message a tince. After all the desired effect is for your creditors to pay you even if they don't pay there other creditors.

Custom Stamps - Streamlines

Winter/Spring has seen several changes to custom stamps the latest being the introduction of new accounting system. This should help us in two ways, first we have been able to reduce costs, by using less paper, this also helps our carbon footprint. Our new invoices with a peelable label has speeded up rubber stamp production. As part of this upgrade we have moved to energy efficent monitors, further reducing our carbon footprint. The other key benfit it the emailing of invoices/statements saving time/money/paper/toner etc. These changes, together with the introduction of  recycled ABS in our rubber stamps recyled range and LEM manufacturing process, has meant a steady reduction in our carbon footprint.

On the home front we have our cardboard and toner cartridges recycled. Additionally we have changed the process for making rubber dies (the bit that makes the impression) reducing the chemicals used by 90%. More on our environmental impact reduction journey soon.
